The first studio record for Cellar Live. Tenor saxophonist/clarinetist James Danderfer is one of the most dynamic and exciting new voices on the Canadian Jazz Scene today. At only 27 years of age Danderfer displays a rare maturity in his sound and approach that make him seem well beyond his years. Run With It is a dazzling display of harmony, melody and some very inspired improvising by the whole group. The record also showcases the composition skills of James Danderfer. The clarinet is not often heard in mainstream modern jazz but Danderfer plays the clarinet beautifully.
